Angela’s coming-of-age in Los Angeles’s D.I.Y music subcultures has greatly inspired their dark, yet bold color palette, and gravitation towards the gritty textural quality of analog film. Angela also grew up dancing and is inspired by their performing arts background, which affords them a sense of connection with their clients through embodied understanding.

Angela went on to study Film Production in their undergrad and spent time honing their skills in both cinematography and sound design, despite going on to pursue art department work in the film industry for a few years. They also developed a keen interest in DJing over the past several years and enjoy the sonic playground it adds to their life. Angela is very much an interdisciplinary artist at heart, and they bring this layered artistic perspective to their photography practice. Through the embodiment of dance and performance, the attention to detail of set decoration, the dramatic lighting craft of cinema, and the gaze of a filmmaker, Angela has created a distinctive visual language and style that rides the line between beauty and darkness. Their gaze and artistic voice is marked by empathy, femininity, sensuality, and curiosity. At their core, Angela's portraits revel in a sense of mystery.
